Devon Francis Bearer Sr Obituary

Devon F. Bearer Sr., 94, of Kittanning, died Saturday, May 
31, 2014, in Altmeyers Personal Care. He was born Dec. 27, 
1919, in Carrolltown, son of Oliver and Louise (Fleming) 
Bearer. He was retired from Irvin Industries in Butler. He 
was a World War II Army veteran, guard and truck driver 
during the war. He was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of 
Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning. He loved 
hunting. Survivors include his son, Richard (Maria) Bearer, 
of Apollo; daughter, Nancy Dangler, of Sarasota, Fla., Son 
Terry (Rhonda) Bearer, of Kittanning, 14 Grandchildren and 
22 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 
parents; wife, Betty Bearer;Son Devon Bearer Jr., 
granddaughter, Christina Bearer; brothers, Reginald, Edgar, 
Russell, Rembrandt, James and Joseph Bearer; and sisters, 
Lillian Miller and Geraldine Waltz. Friends will be 
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the 
SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning. Funeral liturgy 
will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with 
the Rev. Douglas Dorula officiating. Interment will be in 
St. Mary Cemetery in Kittanning.
